A few of my favourite things
The holiday season is upon us, and if you haven't started your shopping, these are a few of my favourite things you might want to add to your list. I love to support local business when I can, and you should too! Click on the photos to be linked to webpages.
Who wouldn't want to cozy up under these AMAZING luxe hand knitted blankets by Top Knot Style?
Looking for something a little smaller or stocking stuffer? Try their gorgeous head bands.

Maybe you are a knitter yourself, you're still in luck because you can buy their VEGAN (I am vegan so this is extra amazing to me. All the beauty without the cruelty) yarn to make yourself or someone special something unique.

Another fave local small business of mine is The Jar Junquie. Succulents + mason jars and antique tobacco tins = brilliant. She is located in Chilliwack , BC, and does custom orders. I have yet to own one of her creations, but it's on my shopping list.

Who doesn't love a good shelf? Add reclaimed wood and steel, and you have Ronin Built. I stumbled on these guys through a friends Instagram and fell in love with these Diamond Shelves.

Lets talk lighting. OK so maybe it won't fit in a stocking, but it would under the tree. Matteo Lighting is one of my new favourite lighting companies. They are local, which means no long lead times. Their prices are incredible and they have a style to meet every taste. These concrete pendants are one of my top choices, they come in several sizes and styles.

If concrete isn't your jam, check out some more of the traditional fixtures. They also also offer up some unique metal pendants, industrial styles, and barn lighting.

A huge trend of 2016 has been cement tiles, and I don't think its going anywhere anytime soon. (Happy dance!) These handmade encaustic tiles from Cement Tile Shop come out of Florida, but ship to the USA and Canada at a reasonable rate. Below is my favourite pattern, Tulum.
